Remarks on Board Ship Levant M Cooper master
Wednesday 11 at 2 pm Capt Cooper comes off with James Arch had been gone 24 hours over his liberty Larboard Watch on Shore all Came off but Daniel Harris Boat Steerer he wast gone 8 hours over liberty he was Seen on shore and advise to Come off he Said he would not Capt Cooper got out a rit for him But he Come of With his own acord But as Soon as he got on board Begine to quarell with the men on board Mr Lewis tuck and taide him up in the rigging Sent a boat on Shore got a police Capt Cooper Come off tuck him on Shore put him in prison He was very Cerly to all

Friday 20 Commences With pleasant weat Employed in stowing water a watch on Shore Latter part at 4 AM Sent in a raft for water got off one tone of Potatoes Slght arers from Sea bord Danil Harris and Manuel still on Shore at 10 Am Capt Cooper and my Self went on Shore tuck him out tuck him on board

Note: Since Dan was born on February 16, 1833, the above account means that he spent his 19th birthday in a Tasmanian jail
